SCOS-2000 is the European Space Agency's (ESA) highly configurable generic mission control system. SCOS-2000 includes comprehensive telemetry processing, manual and automatic commanding, on-board software management, mission archive and web-based data distribution.
SciSys offers complete constellation control solutions based on SCOS-2000, and has been a key player in its design, development and evolution. SciSys has used SCOS-2000 in missions such as Cassini-Huygens, Smart 1, Mars Express, Rosetta and GSTB V2.
SCOS-2000 provides satellite operators with a system that:
- Runs on SUN/Solaris and Linux (PC)
- Minimises the use of COTS (Commercial Off The Shelf)
- Is a de facto standard for ESA missions
- Guarantees long-term evolution and support
SciSys has jointly developed hifly® - a complete monitoring and control solution - based on SCOS-2000. See our hifly® Case Study for details.
