Kevin has been employed by SciSys since March 1996, when he joined the company as an analyst programmer. Kevin read chemical engineering at Surrey University and is now a Senior Business Consultant at SciSys.
He started his career with the company working on site at Nuclear Electric in Barnwood, Gloucester, where his principal responsibilities were business and systems analysis in the direct sales trading department. Having worked extensively in the utilities sector, leading and working on projects for companies such as Northern Electric, Thames Water and Eastern Electricity, Kevin is now the Senior Consultant leading the development of a hardware evaluation work package for Network Rail.
"My main interests at work are the involvement with the client. I get a lot of pleasure from solving problems and educating the client on the potential and benefits of technology. The variety of work I have enjoyed at SciSys has ranged from compiling studies for the Fire and Rescue Service to identify potential omissions/deficiencies in the delivery of critical risk information to the incident ground, to the redesign and implementation of billing and data migration systems for international energy corporations.
The highlights of my time with SciSys have been the delivery of major projects where I had responsibility for the entire project life-cycle. I specified the behaviour of the system with the client, supervised its design, build and testing and coordinated the delivery and deployment of the system."
